St. Alphonsus Parish School Graduates
Our graduates are accepted and attend area Catholic high schools including Bishop Blanchet, Holy Names Academy, O’Dea, Archbishop Murphy and Seattle Prep.
The majority of students going on to public high school attend Ballard High School.
Standardized Testing
The Iowa Test of Basic Skills is administered for students in grade 3-8 in the spring.
Middle School Single Gender Classes
Separate boys and girls classes into combined 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade.
School History
Originally opened as Holy Angels Academy in 1907 serving primary through high school. The school grew at such a rate that a new brick building was constructed in 1923 and opened as St. Alphonsus School. By 1972 Holy Angels High School was forced to close. St. Alphonsus continues today as a preschool through eighth grade school.
